In order to prevent and eliminate violence and harassment in the world of work, each Member shall respect, promote and implement fundamental principles and rights at work.
Namely, freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining, the elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labour, the effective abolition of child labor and the elimination of discrimination in matters of employment and occupation, as well as promote decent and safe work.

In Mexico, the United Commissions on Labor and Social Welfare, and Foreign Relations of the Senate of the Republic approved, on March 7, Convention 190 regarding the Elimination of Violence and Harassment in the World of Work. Now it remains pending for the full Senate to approve it.
The senators of the Labor and Social Welfare Commission have highlighted the importance of this ratification.
