The Department of Culture will invest nearly 300,000 euros in two new actions for the conservation of the heritage of the Ourense cathedral. This was agreed in a meeting held this morning by the councilor Xesús Vázquez with the bishop of Ourense, Leonardo Lemos Montanet, and with the dean, José Pérez Domínguez. The works will focus on the reform of the electrical system and the replacement of luminaires on the roof and interior of the temple, and on the restoration of the bars of the Main Chapel and the Romanesque decoration of the cathedral's head.
